Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union's Statement
The Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union strongly condemns the recent statements by United States President Donald Trump, calling for the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza to Egypt and Jordan. Such remarks are a clear attempt to eliminate the Palestinian people from our land and deny our people's legitimate rights.
We commend the governments of Egypt and Jordan for rejecting this dangerous proposal and urge them to take all necessary measures to counter this forced displacement plan.
The Palestinian people have made immense sacrifices, shedding blood to defend their land and legitimate rights. They have consistently rejected all past resettlement projects and will remain steadfast in their homeland, defending their rights, freedom, and independence.
The union stresses that the acts of mass displacement and ongoing aggression, backed politically and militarily by the United States, make the U.S. administration complicit in these crimes. U.S. President Trump's statements reveal the U.S.'s continued support for Israeli occupation aimed at erasing the Palestinian identity by forcibly displacing our people in Gaza.
We reaffirm that stability in the region can only be achieved through a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. This includes establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and ensuring the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes.
