Stellantis fires combative trade unionists

IMMEDIATE REINSTATEMENT OF DELIO AND FRANCESCA

A week ago, Stellantis management dismissed two workers and combative trade unionists from the Flmu-Cub and Slai-Cobas organisations who worked at two large plants in Cassino (Latina) and Atessa (Chieti).

The member organisations of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggle demand the immediate reinstatement of the two comrades dismissed from Stellantis. We consider these dismissals to be a political attack by the management of Stellantis on those combative trade unionists and workers who, with their daily activity and militancy, in defence of the interests of the working class, jeopardise the billion-dollar profits of the big capitalists. The attack on Delio and Francesca is an attack on the entire working class.

For years Francesca, Delio and their unions have been fighting in defence of the rights of working men and women and against the constant attacks by the bosses, first at Fiat, then at Stellantis. Both Delio and Francesca are part of very combative workers' groups that have been organising the resistance of the workers inside their factories for years, becoming protagonists of important struggles. Francesca's dismissal is also doubly discriminatory, because she is a woman in a factory where most of the workers are male.

As the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggle we will support the campaign to demand the reinstatement of Delio and Francesca, seeking to internationalise solidarity and support against this shameful discriminatory attack.

Only the working class united internationally will be able to repel the attacks of the multinationals by leading a more general struggle against this criminal system.
