Rail without borders network

For more than a year, workers in the British rail sector have been waging a series of struggles: strikes, rallies, demonstrations, etc. Their struggle is part of that of the working class as a whole, against austerity and the undermining of rights. Their struggle is part of that of the working class as a whole, against austerity and the undermining of rights; it takes into account the specific situations of their professional sector, the railways.

RMT is calling all staff to strike as part of the national dispute over working conditions, pay and job security on Saturday 26 August and Saturday 2 September 2023. This is the result of the Rail Delivery Group's failure to make any proposals in response to long-standing demands.

The member organisations of the International Trade Union Solidarity and Struggle Network and the Rail Without Borders Network support the British railway workers in their struggle!

The 14 railway companies affected by the strike are as follows: Chiltern Railways, Cross Country Trains, Greater Anglia,, LNER, East Midlands Railway, c2c, Great Western Railway, Northern Trains, South Eastern, South Western Railway, Transpennine Express, Avanti West Coast, West Midlands Trains, GTR (including Gatwick Expres).
