The International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggles (ILNSS) celebrates its 10th anniversary on Friday, March 24th.

Since its inception, the organization has aimed to promote solidarity and internationalist struggle among workers from different countries. This has been achieved through the unity among multiple workers' traditions who stand for a militant perspective independent from both the State and the bosses. Despite their diversity, they are the essence of the ILNSS, which has always intended to act without any trace of sectarianism, as long as the goal remains the same: to raise the banners of anti-capitalist, feminist, anti-colonialist, anti-racist, pro LGBTIQ+ and environmental struggles.

The ILNSS was born in Saint Denis in 2013, from the Spanish CGT, the CSP-Conlutas from Brazil, and Solidaires from France and other labour organizations. Its first manifesto rejected the logic of conciliation and class collaboration and called for a fight against the neoliberal and imperialist policies that generate misery and exploitation for working men and women worldwide. The manifesto also highlighted the need to combat the oppression of gender, race, and sexual orientation.

Over the past few years, the ILNSS has accomplished important achievements, demonstrating the strength and importance of internationalist solidarity.

In 2018, the organization sent a delegation to the protests against the G20 Meeting in Argentina, strengthening the struggle against neoliberalism and imperialism.

In 2020, during the pandemic, the ILNSS prioritized the defense of the lives of working men and women, the guarantee of safe working conditions, and the very means of organization. Online meetings were organized, and a large plenary in 2021 brought together more than 100 activists from all over the world to discuss topics such as women's rights, colonialism, and the mobilizations of various categories. The Covid-19 pandemic exposed the resounding failure of neoliberalism and capitalism, which is pushing us towards the deterioration of the environment and widespread poverty for working men and women, according to the ILNSS's assessment.

Another important initiative to be highlighted occurred in 2022, with the sending of the ILNSS's Labour Convoy to Ukrainian territory with a shipment of tons of donations for families and workers fighting on the front against the Russian invasion. The ILNSS has participated in a total of three direct and concrete actions of collaboration with the Ukrainian workers' resistance.

As the ILNSS completes a decade of existence, it confirms the importance of international relations of solidarity and struggle, which unite workers worldwide in defense of their rights and interests. The principles of internationalist solidarity, trade union democracy, the fight against sexism and racism, and the defense of the environment and the sovereignty of peoples continue to guide the ILNSS. Every year, with each update of its manifesto and principles, the organization affirms its willingness to build a world without borders, where all people can live with dignity.

In the years to come, the ILNSS will remain firm in its mission to build a more just and egalitarian world, which inequalities and oppression are overcome, and human dignity is respected in all its dimensions.Long live the International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggles!
