Call for support NGWF
National Garment Workers Federation
We are writing to provide an update on the ongoing relief efforts for flood-affected garment workers' families in Bangladesh, following up on our previous communication.
We are pleased to inform you that the National Garment Workers Federation (NGWF) has made significant progress in our relief work:
Our initial relief effort commenced on Friday, August 30, 2024, in Noakhali, one of the severely affected districts. Our team provided essential support to 100 garment workers' families who were seriously impacted by the devastating floods.
We continued our efforts with a second team departing on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, to extend our relief work.
Most recently, we conducted more relief distribution on September 12, 13, and 14, 2024. This effort reached approximately 100 flood-victim families across three districts: Noakhali, Lakshmipur, and Cumilla.
We want to emphasize that our relief distribution efforts will continue in the coming weeks. The ongoing nature of this crisis requires sustained support, and we are committed to providing assistance as long as it is needed.
To provide a clearer picture of our efforts, we have attached several photographs documenting our relief activities in the affected areas. These images showcase the distribution of aid and the current conditions faced by the workers and their families.
We remain hopeful for your support and would be grateful for any contribution you can make to our relief efforts. If you have any questions or would like more information about our activities, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to your positive response.
