The ILNSS is participating in a campaign in solidarity with the "Minnesota 15 activists."

The International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggle is part of a broad network of trade union organizations and grassroots movements that have launched a solidarity campaign for the activists known as the “Minnesota 15” in the United States.

The group, comprising eight union members and three former union members, faces legal charges after leading protests against the violent actions of ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and the military presence in the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The motion denounces the anti-democratic nature of the legal proceedings and characterizes the move as an attempt to criminalize the working class's right to organize and protest.

No to the persecution of activists; fighting for justice is a right! Abolish ICE Now!

We, the undersigned, protest the undemocratic and unjust charges brought against the activists known as the "Minnesota 15" in the United States—a group that includes eight union members and three former union members. These courageous working-class activists helped lead the heroic resistance against the militarized occupation of Minneapolis and St. Paul, which sought to sow fear and division within working-class and immigrant communities.

I join all those demanding that the charges against the Minnesota 15 be dropped and that ICE be abolished so that resources can be redirected toward education, housing, and healthcare. No human being is illegal, and I stand with all immigrants facing xenophobic and racist laws and attacks—in Brazil, the United States, and everywhere else.

The "rapid response" mass movement and the January 23rd general strike in the Twin Cities remain a great inspiration to workers in Brazil and around the world. As the Twin Cities demonstrated, only a united working class can defeat the far right, which is gaining ground here and everywhere else. Meanwhile, capitalist governments around the world are increasingly adopting authoritarian measures as they prepare for a new era of war, climate catastrophe, and—inevitably—mass movements against them and their system. In response, we must unite across borders to build a strong international movement against hatred, division, authoritarianism, and war, and for solidarity, equality, and peace.

To the Minnesota 15 and all anti-ICE activists in the US: stand firm—we stand with you.
