International Solidarity with the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee and the People of Jammu Kashmir
Defending democratic rights, labour freedoms, and human dignity against repression in Pakistan-administered Kashmir
Whereas the people of Jammu Kashmir have organized a broad democratic movement demanding economic justice, affordable electricity, access to essential goods, democratic rights, and public control over local resources;
Whereas activists, workers, trade unionists, and community leaders have reportedly faced killings, enforced disappearances, arrests, dismissals, property seizures, communication blackouts, and other forms of repression for exercising their democratic rights;
Whereas these actions constitute serious violations of labour rights, civil liberties, democratic freedoms, and fundamental human rights;
Whereas international solidarity has historically played a vital role in defending workers, oppressed peoples, and democratic movements facing state repression;
Therefore, be it resolved that:
- We express our full solidarity with the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) and the people of Jammu Kashmir.
- We condemn the killings, disappearances, arrests, and repression directed against activists, workers, and protesters.
- We demand the immediate release of all political prisoners and detained activists.
- We call for full accountability for all human rights violations and acts of state violence.
- We support workers, families, and communities affected by dismissals, property seizures, and economic retaliation.
- We demand the restoration of communications, democratic freedoms, and civil liberties.
- We call for unrestricted access to food, medicine, healthcare, and essential services.
- We demand the implementation of all commitments established under the October 2025 agreement.
- We encourage trade unions, labour organizations, social movements, and democratic institutions worldwide to organize solidarity actions, educational activities, resolutions, and awareness campaigns in support of this struggle.
- We support the establishment of direct links of solidarity between democratic organizations internationally and the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee.
