Alert to workers in Venezuela: No to the bosses' labour law!
Labour Minister Eduardo Piñate and the government intend to remove the constitutional and legal rights of workers under the pretext of ‘social dialogue’ and ‘workers' welfare’.
The current labour legislation already establishes the rights and guarantees of workers. There is no need to ‘revise’ or ‘adapt’ anything. What is needed is effective enforcement of labour law and absolute respect for acquired rights.
What they are hiding:
Collusion with private employers to eliminate wages, legalise bonuses, eliminate retroactivity of social benefits, among other acquired rights.
This is a regressive labour ‘reform’ disguised as progress, which also completely excludes genuine and representative trade unions; only representatives of yellow, employer and government trade unions are involved.
We demand and strongly affirm:
No to regressive, employer-friendly reforms!
Full compliance with current labour legislation and labour rights.
Mobilisation and unity among all workers to defend wages, benefits and acquired rights.
No to the impositions of the government and private employers!
Yes to the Constitution and workers' rights!
Unity and struggle against this alliance that seeks to plunder our rights!

Message from our comrades at the CNCTL
The situation in Venezuela is becoming more complex every day and the class struggle is intensifying.
The dictatorship under the tutelage of the American empire is handing over all our wealth, and the multinational oil companies are rubbing their hands with glee as they see that they control, not to say receive as a gift, our oil; it is now extending its tentacles to gold mining, but also controls its marketing, and this is encouraged by its total control of rare earths; The ‘normalisation’ of diplomatic relations is progressing and, with it, the intelligence agency is extending its tentacles.
At the same time, they are claiming to amend the constitution and labour law in order to formally eliminate all labour rights. We are taking to the streets on 12 March. The fight is taking place in the streets. No one here is giving up.
