We condemn the imperialist bombings against Venezuelan territory!
International mobilisation for the Venezuelan people!
The Network
The organisations of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggle express their strongest and most categorical condemnation of the imperialist bombings carried out by the United States military forces against Venezuelan territory on the night of Saturday, 3 January 2026.
This is a direct military aggression that violates Venezuela's national sovereignty, attacks its people and represents a serious threat to peace in Latin America and the Caribbean. The attacks on military installations, strategic infrastructure, ports, airports and urban areas in Caracas and other states constitute war crimes and flagrantly violate international law and the principle of self-determination of peoples.
We denounce the fact that the main objective of this US invasion is to plunder Venezuela's natural resources, particularly oil, following the same colonial and imperialist logic historically used by the United States in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf countries. The same false pretexts used to justify invasions, the destruction of entire countries and to support the genocide of the Palestinian people – now presented once again under the false argument of the ‘fight against drug trafficking’ – are once again being used to legitimise a criminal aggression against a sovereign country in Latin America.
We reject any attempt to impose internal political changes in Venezuela by military force, as well as the kidnapping and forced disappearance of Maduro, his wife and any Venezuelan citizen. Imperialist interference does not bring peace and does not combat organised crime: it causes death, destruction, misery and domination.
In Venezuela, Palestine, Ukraine, and everywhere else in the world, military invasions, colonialism, and imperialist wars are the work of authoritarian and extreme right-wing regimes against which we are fighting, alongside the forces of our social camp, that of workers, social and ecological justice, and democracy.
---------
As part of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggle, we are in contact with our comrades in the National Committee of Conflicting Workers in Struggle in Venezuela, who have been fighting for years against Maduro's anti-social and freedom-destroying regime. But the Venezuelan people do not want to fall under the yoke of American imperialism in order to free themselves from Maduro's regime!
----------
We express our total solidarity with the Venezuelan people, their popular organisations and workers, and we reaffirm the Venezuelan people's right to freely decide their own destiny, without blockades, sanctions, threats or foreign intervention. Immediate withdrawal of troops and all imperialist war arsenal from Latin America.
In view of the seriousness of this aggression, we call for the international mobilisation of trade unions, trade union federations, popular movements, student organisations, peasant organisations and human rights organisations to organise large international demonstrations in their countries, denouncing the invasion of Venezuela, condemning the war crimes committed by Donald Trump's government and demanding an immediate end to imperialist aggression.
No to imperialist invasion in Venezuela and Latin America!
No to the theft of Venezuelan oil and the capture of the ships that transport it!
Down with imperialist sanctions against Venezuela!
For the sovereignty of the peoples!
International solidarity with Venezuelan workers!
