6th International Meeting of the Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles: Time to Unite Forces
From November 13 to 16, workers from different countries will gather in Chianciano Terme, Italy, for the 6th Meeting of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles (RSISL). The event will take place at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori, an international conference and accommodation center that will host trade union representatives and social movements from around the world.
A decisive moment for international solidarity
We are living through a decisive moment. The effects of global capitalism — attacks on rights, privatization, unemployment, wars, imperialism, and the climate crisis — are hitting the working class hard. In this context, the international meeting aims to build paths of resistance and solidarity, strengthening the global organization of social struggles.
It will also be a time to reinforce international solidarity by professional sector, based on the concrete situations faced by workers.
Central themes of the debate
Over four days of activities, participants will discuss major issues affecting the world of work: women’s rights and feminism; the struggle against oppression and the far right; self-management and workers’ control; anticolonialism, anti-racism, and migration; ecology, health, and working conditions; as well as the international economic situation and the challenges posed by neoliberal policies. The debates will bring together delegations from various countries, promoting the exchange of experiences and strategies of struggle.
Costs and event structure
The participation fee is 350 euros for delegates from Europe, the USA, and Japan, and 250 euros for representatives from the Global South. The amount includes accommodation for three nights and full meals, from Thursday dinner to Sunday lunch. The proposal is for all organizations to contribute financially, collectively sharing the overall cost of the event.
How to participate
Registrations are now open. To secure your spot, simply fill out the registration form available at this link: Google Form.
Organizers also invite participants to submit texts and discussion proposals on topics such as international economics, ecology, women’s struggles, privatization, repression, self-management, and occupational health and safety. These contributions will help enrich the panels and discussions during the meeting.
A network of struggles that grows and renews itself
The International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles was created in 2013, through the union of Solidaires (France), CGT (Spain), and CSP-Conlutas (Brazil). Today, it brings together around 200 trade union organizations and social movements from several countries, committed to a combative, democratic, anti-capitalist, and internationalist unionism.
The Network holds international meetings every two years, during which its manifesto — a charter of principles and actions in defense of the working class — is collectively updated. The last meeting took place in September 2023, in São José dos Campos (Brazil), marking a historic step in the global coordination of workers. It was there that the next stop was decided: Italy, with new challenges, ideas, and hopes.
Together for a fairer world
The 6th RSISL Meeting will be a milestone in building international solidarity. More than an event, it is a call for unity, resistance, and hope — an opportunity to reaffirm that no worker stands alone, and that the strength of solidarity can cross borders.
