Solidarity with Silvia Leticia
The Network
The member organisations of the International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggle are supporting Silvia Leticia, coordinator of the SINTEPP (public education union), who is the target of a campaign against her in Belem, because she has criticised the mayor and the city administration for taking measures that penalise municipal staff and the poor, while favouring the rich. Silvia Leticia called for pay rises for teachers, nurses and municipal staff, and rejected precarious contracts. Committed to municipal life, she also fights for better school meals, for the right to health and housing for all, against racism, for the defence of women's rights and LGBTQI+ people...
