Activists, members of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine (KVPU), visited soldiers seriously wounded during the fighting with Russian aggressors in medical facilities in Kyiv. The initiative was initiated by Alla Alekseeva and her team of volunteers from the KVPU in Yampol, Vinnytsia region, and their colleagues in Kyiv who supported the idea and actively participated in the visit. The trade unionists visited Bohdan from Yampol, Dmytro from Shchastya, two Oleksandrs from Andrushyvka and Smila, Viktor from Severodonetsk and other fighters. [...]

Valentina Korobka said that when they came to visit Bohdan, he was still in the operating room, and as soon as the nurses brought him in, it was immediately clear that the soldier was a darling of the hospital staff. The first thing he asked was whether they had brought his favourite salad and, seeing the dish, he was genuinely happy. The KVPU representatives wished the brave and happy soldier a speedy recovery.
The fate of Dmytro from Shchastya has not left trade unionists indifferent. He is 26 years old. Dmytro was born in Vladivostok. He moved to Ukraine with his family in 2008. He has two children. He joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the beginning of the war, was wounded, captured, returned with the help of his sister and ended up in hospital (on life support). He was treated and sent back to the front, where he was seriously wounded again. His comrade did not arrive in Kyiv, he died on the way. Dima also thought that he would not live, but the Lord ordered otherwise!

I asked if he communicated with his parents (they are now living in the Russian Federation) and I received a clear answer: No! says Valentina Korobka. And in the young man's eyes I saw: I will never forgive. I hope that everything will go well with Dima. He will soon get married to his beloved Valentina. Everything should go well in his future life, because he deserves it. The representatives of KVPU wished Dmytro a speedy recovery and decided that they would certainly help and support him in the future.

Trade union leader Valentina Korobka expressed her sincere gratitude to all those who participated in the visits to wounded soldiers, especially the team of volunteers from Yampol. Thanks are also due to the nurses from Kyivan, who help take seriously wounded fighters out for fresh air. And, without a doubt, a big thank you to the incredibly sensitive medical staff, as well as to all those who have supported our soldiers and continue to do so, because they are the best and bravest.

The KVPU representatives could not help but pay attention to the fact that, unfortunately, not all medical institutions in Kyiv have created adequate conditions to see our wounded soldiers again or provide them with everything necessary. "I would like the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Minister Viktor Lyashko personally to pay more attention to solving the problems related to the care of our soldiers," concludes Valentina Korobka.
