Everyone on strike in Greece on 8 February!

The UGTT (Tunisia) and SUD-Solidaires (France) call center unions are giving their full support to the strike by Greek call center employees of Teleperformance, Foundever, TTEC and Webhelp on 8 February. The 24-hour strike will affect services outsourced in several languages, such as calls, chat and e-mail management, for multinationals such as Apple, Google, Meta, Mercedes, AirBNB and Amazon.

For several weeks now, hundreds of Teleperformance employees have been meeting to set out their demands relating to waghes, working conditions and residence permits. This strike call follows a refusal by the Teleperformance multinational to respond positively to the demands put forward by their union, SETIP.

While inflation continues to disrupt the lives of millions of employees around the world, the last wage rise for some Teleperformance employees dates back to 2010! It's clear that under these conditions, our colleagues at the Greek sites can no longer live and support themselves. In France, for the same reasons, the unions are calling for a one-day strike on 13 March...

The UGTT and SUD-Solidaires trade unions have been involved from the begining and have provided their support to the success of this project, which will free the voices of thousands of workers exploited by French and American multinationals. The aim of everyone involved in these discussions is to organise and defend all employees in the industry.

Together, we will march towards a fairer redistribution of wealth and a convergence of our struggles.
