Statement by PPSWU (Postal Service Workers Union) on the Zionist occupation's war on the Palestinian people
We are deeply concerned, as the Zionist occupation continues its assault on the Palestinian people. Since the onset of this onslaught on Gaza a week ago, over two thousand Palestinian civilians have been murdered, and thousands more have been injured in Gaza and the West Bank. Palestinian civilians are unjustly subjected to a harsh genocidal siege, all while the international community's response remains inadequate and complicit in the crimes being committed by apartheid Israel and its occupation forces.
In light of these crimes against our people, we call upon unions and popular and civil society organizations around the globe to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and exert pressure on governments around the world to put an end to this ongoing genocide. We strongly condemn any proposal that suggests the forced expulsion and displacement of Gaza's residents to Sinai, as it will only further complicate the situation, and amounts to another Nakba against our people, causing more suffering and altering the peaceful trajectory of the Palestinian issue.
The Postal Service Workers Union in Palestine implores the global community to join us in stopping this fascist aggression and supporting the freedom, peace, security, and stability of the Palestinian people. It's important to remember that violence only begets more violence. PPSWU would like to thank unions and activists who are fighting for Palestine across the world.
