Support for the actvists from Freedom Flotilla
The Network
Several days ago, the so-called Freedom Flotilla set sail with activists from various countries on board to break the siege of Gaza, transporting humanitarian aid, food and medicine and as a way of denouncing the blockade and the ongoing genocide.
The Israeli army intercepted and seized the ship in international waters, and the activists remain in the custody of the Israeli occupation government. The member organisations of the International Trade Union Network for Solidarity and Labour Struggle affirm their support for this initiative to break the blockade of Gaza.
The genocidal war must stop and humanitarian aid must be allowed. Given the inertia of many governments and international institutions to prevent the massacres, citizen mobilisations are one of the only ways to combat Israel's impunity and prevent the Palestinian people from disappearing before the eyes of the whole world.
The member organisations of the International Labour Network for Solidarity and Struggle demand:
- an immediate and permanent ceasefire;
- an end to the inhumane blockade of Gaza;
- the right of return for refugees;
- an end to colonisation and occupation;
- recognition of the illegality of the construction of the Separation Wall and the inhumane blockade of Gaza for 16 years;
- an end to the Israeli government's apartheid policies.
We call on you to join the actions in support of the activists who made up the Freedom Flotilla.
