The Red

Dear comrades of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles,

Please accept our militant greetings and our deepest gratitude for this courageous motion of solidarity with the working people of Bolivia and with the Bolivian Workers’ Confederation (COB).

From our trade union organisation in Palestine, we express our full support for the legitimate struggle of the Bolivian working class against austerity policies, the rising cost of living and any measure that undermines the dignity and rights of workers.

We highly value the internationalist stance adopted by the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles and reaffirm that unity and solidarity among the peoples and workers of the world remain the strongest weapon against exploitation, poverty and repression.

We condemn any form of violence or repression against protesters and defend the right of workers to organise, mobilise and fight for social justice, decent wages and a dignified life.

The voice of the workers cannot be silenced.

Long live the struggle of the Bolivian working class!

Long live international solidarity among peoples and workers!

In solidarity,

Union of Painting and Gypsum Workers – Palestine/Hebron

----------

The International Trade Union Network for Solidarity and Struggles expresses its firm and unconditional solidarity with the Bolivian Workers’ Confederation (COB) and with the entire Bolivian working class, in the face of the general strike that began on 1 May 2026.

We salute the days of struggle led by the Bolivian people against the brutal rise in the cost of living, the liberalisation of fuel prices and the austerity policies that severely penalise workers, the working classes and the poorest sections of society. This is a legitimate and necessary response to measures that exacerbate social inequality and undermine the living conditions of the majority of the population.

We recognise and value the strength of the popular mobilisation which, starting from the demand for a decent wage increase, has evolved into a broader struggle against a government that serves the interests of big business and ignores the needs of the people. The demand for profound change expresses the sovereign right of workers to decide the country’s direction.

We vehemently condemn all forms of repression, state violence and human rights violations against demonstrators and workers in struggle. The criminalisation of social movements and the use of force to suppress popular mobilisations are unacceptable and must cease immediately.

The International Trade Union Network for Solidarity and Struggles stands with the Bolivian people, supporting their demands and their right to fight for better living conditions, decent work and social justice.

We will continue to denounce internationally any attempt at repression and to strengthen the bonds of solidarity among workers around the world.

Long live the struggle of the Bolivian working class!

Long live international solidarity!
