In solidarity with the general strike in Argentina!
The Network
The social movement is at the forefront of the resistance to the Milei government's attacks. The trade unions are playing a leading role. The three trade union confederations, CGT RA, CTA T and CTA A, have put in place a plan of struggle, combining local and national mobilisations. At national level, there was the general strike on 24 January, the women's strike on 8 March, and the day on 24 March to pay tribute to the 30,000 victims of the dictatorship and to ensure that memory, truth and justice remain, contrary to what the government wants to do.
9 May was the second day of the general strike. The workers, supported by the CGT RA, CTA T and CTA A, are rejecting austerity, the dismantling of public services and social protection, the repression of social movements and the forgetting of the dictatorship's crimes.
As we have done on previous days of struggle, the member organisations of the International Labor Network of Solidarity and Struggles are affirming their support for our comrades in Argentina and, in several countries, are taking part in the rallies of support that have been organised for this purpose.
