Chianciano Terme - Italy - November 13 to 16, 2025

The political and social context that we now live in leads us to ask for massive participation in this 6th meeting of the International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggles. The Network and the unions that are based on unifying workers and popular and social struggles against the attacks of governments and employers around the world, need to face, with foresight and solidarity, the next two years of struggle. 

The various wars that exist in different parts of the world (Palestine, Ukraine, Yemen, Sudan, Nigeria, Rojava, etc.) are a consequence of imperialism and the colonial and racist policies that correspond to the current stage of capitalism. These wars and their possible extensions serve as a pretext for governments to try to impose budgets at the service of the interests of the arms industries to the detriment of urgent collective needs (social, educational, ecological, migratory, health, etc.), and of a growing militarization of our societies, without any desire for a just and lasting peace that includes the real recognition of the right of peoples to self-determination and to fight against the aggressions of which they are object. It is impossible now to know if the Palestinian people will still exist, what will happen in Ukraine, if Sudan will continue to bleed into darkness, if there will be a conflict in Yemen. We must put these global problems on the table, share them and mark a road map to denounce and fight against this great injustice that capitalism wants to impose on us. There we have a lot to say and do. Any ideas and contributions will be welcome.

In addition to the authoritarian and austerity policies imposed by capitalist governments that present themselves as “democratic”, the rise of the extreme right is also another perspective that worries and affects us, regardless of the country we are from, we live it every day and many times we suffer it with loss of rights to demonstrate and denounce, with greater persecution of the union labor movement. It is time to share and debate the proposals of each union to end totalitarianism disguised as liberal, time for proposals to confront the struggle and to think about how we can go forward together. Trump will be "master of the universe" for 11 months and his henchmen (Milei, Bolsonaro, Abascal, Meloni, Bukele...) will continue to trample on rights in the name of freedom, in an unthinkable coincidence with Tsar Putin (and his side's henchmen Urban, Lukashenko,...), will it be time to contrast, reflect and position ourselves?

And finally, and most importantly, what keeps us united and in this Network, the labor and popular movement, the working youth, the labor sectors, us workers, all those who fight every day to improve working conditions and defend the environment, to protect us from businessmen who only look out for their economic interests: we have to become strong, understand what is happening in our sectors at a global level to give our own approach to struggle as a Network. Message of union, unity and support that will lead us to a stronger labor movement.

For all this and much more, we are waiting for you in November in Chianciano Terme.

Details about the 6th Meeting:

• Where? 

Grand Hotel Ambasciatori, international meeting and accommodation center in Chianciano Terme city.

• When? 

Arrival: Thursday (13th) around 1:00 p.m. to allow for a timely start.

Meetings: from Thursday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. until Sunday, November 16 at 12:00 p.m. A welcome will be held for the comrades at the Chianciano Terme train station.

• Cost: 

We ask all organizations to contribute to the costs, even if this represents a significant financial effort: it is neither desirable nor possible for the full cost to be borne by only a small group of organisations.

The cost is 350 EUROS for delegates from Europe, the USA and Japan. And 250 EUROS for delegates from the Global South. The value is per person and includes:

Accommodation for three nights.

All meals from the afternoon of Thursday, November 13 until lunch on Sunday, November 16.

• Solidarity Fund:

The organizations CUB, CSP-Conlutas, CGT and Solidaires have created the common fund to allow the participation of organizations in difficulty. Solidaires bears all translation costs. If your organization can help in any way please contact us.

• Registration

To register, fill in the details in the form. 

• Meetings by sector

The number of professional sectors meetings will be established according to the professional sectors of the colleagues registered for the meeting. It already seems possible to predict the list indicated above, but this must be confirmed by its inscriptions.

• Debate and contributions

It is urgent that organizations propose texts, more precisely on the following topics: international economic situation, ecology, women's struggles, privatizations, repression, self-management, health at work, etc.

Our 6th meeting is the opportunity to strengthen the International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggle both through meetings of professional sectors and collective reflection on issues that the organizations will have considered priority, and through the adoption of a work plan and common tools that allow us to strengthen rank-and-file unionism, anti-capitalist, self-managed, democratic, environmentalist, independent of employers and governments, internationalist and that fights against all forms of oppression (machismo, racism, homophobia, xenophobia).
